The smartphone: phone electronic Swiss army knife
With a smartphone, it is possible to pay at the supermarket, buy a ticket, get a discount or receive information about tourist attractions during a walk: through the near field communication ( NFC), all this will soon be possible.

Data security must be ensured.
The users' interest in the possibilities offered by the NFC technology is very high. Concerns about the security of their data are too. These fears are conceivable and understandable but unjustified because the payment via the NFC technology provides the same security as traditional payment methods. Based on this secure all NFC services consists of chips, such as those developed and marketed by long G & D and used today in credit cards and SIM cards. These security elements are used to authenticate the user to the service provider. Early in contactless technology, G & D has focused on secure mobile payment and has developed appropriate materials and NFC software.
G & D offers secure for the mobile network systems that transfer the secure element on the phone applications such as tickets, entry tickets, keys hotel rooms, payment cards and electronic driver licenses . G & D also supports these applications on demand mobile network operators, banks and other service providers.
On the occasion of the 2011 Mobile World Congress, G & D and NXP have filled an important gap. Both companies have developed software for secure communications between mobile phones with the Android operating system, NFC functionality and security features such as SIM card interfaces. This solution can be transferred to other mobile phones and allows to integrate safely NFC in the phone. This is real progress for a secure future use of NFC services.
Fast and convenient: NFC is on the verge of breaking
In addition to the almost unlimited application possibilities offered by the NFC technology is the speed which makes it so interesting. Long queues could soon becoming a memory: according to a study by American Express payments via NFC technology is 60% faster than cash and 50% faster that 'with a credit card. His large-scale deployment could act quickly. Juniper Research estimates that by 2014 300 million NFC-enabled smartphones will be on the market, and even quotes a figure of 500 million by 2015.
After many successful pilot projects in recent years, the technology begins its commercial launch in several countries. 2012 could be the year of the breakthrough. Many customers of G & D wish now launch NFC applications.
